How To Delete All Files From The Computer

Computing : Internet

If you want to wipe all the files from your windows XP computer:

Create a boot disk for XP, and restart your machine with the boot disk in place.

Then when you restart the computer you will be taken through to the command prompt, where the command you will use is to format the hard drive and therefore delete everything on it in the process.

That command is format c: (where c is the hard drive that you want to format)

You then click ok and the deletion will happen. Of course only do this if you really do want to lose all the data.

If you really want to stop the drive being recoverable or usable, then simply damage it some other way for instance through using a strong magnet.
