Do Employers Look Positively On Gap Years
| Travel : Gap Years One question that many students have is whether employers will think a gap year is a good or a bad thing. Well it will depend on what you do with it, and what industry you are going in to to so some extent, but in the main if you do something positive with the gap year and use your time well then in general it is positive. Why? Because most employers agree that it can help to give you so called soft skills that are very useful in business but not necessarily cultivated whilst studying - things like teamworking and communication and organisation which are not needed or developed in the same way whilst in education.
