How To Engage Young Children

Education : Teaching

If you are teaching young children, then you will know they have a very short attention span.

Therefore lessons need to be kept short, and introduce an element of fun where possible.

Also, try to appeal to ALL the sense of the child - sound, touch, vision and so on.

One great way to do this is to use talking pop-up books to bring stories to life, these have bright colourful pictures (visual), sound effects (sound) and often have pop-up pictures they can touch and feel (touch).

Appealing to all the senses of the child will help them develop quickly, and also keep them interested.
