How To Feed Your Guinea Pig

Pets : Other Pets

Clearly the staples that you need for a guinea pig are fresh water, and guinea pig food, which is dry, that you can buy at the pet store.

However, guinea pig love fresh food too, but they are quite fussy and not all guinea pigs like the same foods! Here are some things that you can try.

Dandelion leaves: these grow naturally in most gardens, and the majority of guinea pigs absolutely love them and will scoff them

Grass: if you have a run in the garden you will know that you guinea pig can act as a lawn mower and cut down the grass

Cucumber: try this with your guinea pig, many do like it or at least enjoy gnawing off the skin

Carrot is another favourite for many guinea pigs. Others enjoy little bits of apple.
