It seems a bit extreme and can be expensive, so what exactly is it, and how and why do people get it done? Well in this tecnique, a laser beam is focussed and directed against the follice and the net effect is that the follicle can no longer grow hair. Therefore the attraction is that if done right it can be pretty permanent and save lots of time and effort in the future. However how effective it is is up for debate, and it can be expensive and time consuming treatment. Therefore laser hair removal is not for everyone and not recommended for most either - stick to normal shaving methods and you should be just fine!
