How To Lay Out A Formal Letter

Education : English

When you are writing a formal letter in an English exam, you need to follow certain rules that many people do not follow in the real world. But learning that format is important to get full marks!

Remember that you should have your address without your name at the top right of the paper. Use a comma after each line.

Under the address leave a line gap then write the date.

Then leave a line.

Then on the left write Dear Mr/Mrs Bloggs,

Then comes the body of the letter, use paragraphs to separate.

Then at the end, again indented from the left, put Yours Sincerely,
then your name on the line underneath.
