How To Make A Room Lighter
| DIY : Decorating If you have quite dark rooms, then one of the simplest things you can do to maximise the light is to change the walls and wallpaper. Many people have dark walls and don't like the idea of light ones, but you can compromise to increase light, whilst retaining a dark wall. Here's the key: make sure that the wall that receives all the light from outside / the window, is light coloured - say a cream colour, so that it reflects lots of light into the room and onto the other wall, which can be dark if that's your preference. Hence you can get both light and dark in a room, without it being too dull and murky!
