However, a recent report showed that many people are now taking to filing the corners of their nails too to try and make them look smoother and neater. However, you should not actually file the corners of the nail. That's because filing this area will actually make the nail much weaker. The net result of that will be that the nail is much more prone to breaking, which will defeat the object. Therefore when filing your nails always resist the temptation to file the corners of any of your nails!
