When recruiting new employees, many businesses are tempted to get in people that are like themselves.

Whilst this can make a pleasant working environment as you will have similar priorities, it can be bad for business.

What you should rather do is look for people with complementary skills. For instance, if one team member is very creative, when you recruit a new team member, get someone who is a finisher.

This way, you get both ideas and delivery. Too many creators and you'll have great ideas but little will get done. Too many finishers, and things may end up going a little stale and it will be hard to adapt when change is necessary.
