How To Remember Whether To Say I Or Me

Education : English

How to remember whether to say I or me, e.g. in the sentence, My dad gave grapes to my brother and me, or My dad gave grapes to my brother and I?

If the other person wasn't there would you say I or me? In this case it would be me, - my dad gave grapes to me.

An easy way of working out a tricky bit of grammar.
