| Hobbies : Art One major interest of Renaissance painters was the technical side of drawing, and using converging lines and rules of perspective to get a sense of reality in pictures. Another major fascination of many Renaissance artists was the way that light changed during the day and night, and also from each season of the year. It was realised that the different quality of light at different times of year and day could be used to adjust the way each picture was painted and add a sense of reality to it. For instance, a landscape could be done in the cool colours of morning or the warm colours of an autumn afternoon. This was the age of technical skills flourishing and experimentation.
