| Business : Self Employment When it comes to getting work, one of the best ways is to actually meet up face to face with old colleagues and friends. All that you need to do this of course is to arrange a date. Meeting face to face is always the best way to find out about work and get it, as face to face people may be more relaxed and more willing to share information with you perhaps in confidence. When you get leads you can then take action and contact them in order to get work. For instance over lunch you should be able to find out who the key players are in a particular area and then get in touch with them to see if there are any work opportunities available for you within that particular company... or at least to have yourself borne in mind should something suitable come up in the future.
