Lots of people don't use it which is a mystery to me, as it seems to taste the same (perhaps that's my lack of discerning taste), but when faced with normal 10 minute pasta and quick cook 5 minute pasta, why would anyone not use quick cook? Quick cooking pasta is particularly good for students and those who need a feed in a hurry!
