Things You Should Never Pay More Than £1 For

Money : Saving

There are many things that you shouldn’t pay more than £1 for and can find cheaper alternatives elsewhere.

Household cleaning products and toiletries can both be found at pound shops for a pound each, so there’s no need to spend £2+ on each item from your local supermarket. Although supermarket own brands can sometimes be really cheap. For example Tesco sell a packet two disposable toothbrushes for just 10p.

Air fresheners can also be found at the pound shop, or you could make your own. Just rub lemon juice or lavender against the radiator so when it heats up it will fill the room with a nice smell.

Stationery can also be bought for a pound so theres no need to spend loads of money. The same goes for batteries although cheaper versions may not last as long.

Christmas decorations can be found cheaply in pound shops or you can even make your own. Pick up a pack of Christmas cards for £1 at your local charity shop. They usually have some nice designs for quarter of the price.
