| Hobbies : Astronomy If you have taken an interest in astronomy, you will probably hear the word ?perihelion? used from time to time. But what does it mean? It is, simply, the point in the orbit of a planetary body ? for instance a planet, or comet ? at which it is closest to the Sun.
