Why Relationships Break Down

Self Development : Relationships

The most common reason for a relationship to break down is due to one thing: trust. Or in fact, lack of trust.

In order to have a healthy and stable relationship trust is a key part. You can't practically go through a relationship always wondering what the other person is up to - it will drive you mad, them mad or both of you mad!

Therefore if your relationship is in trouble, analyse if the trust issue is a contributer. It normally is.

If it is an issue, then decide why - clearly if there is good reason to doubt the integrity of the other member then you will need to have an adult discussion about the relationship.

But often it is paranoia that is the cause, in which case you need to tell yourself to get a grip and not to saboutage your own relationship.
