www.bbc.co.uk - contains a fully comprehensive news section with uk, politics, sport, education and health articles. You can listen to news bulletins from BBC Radio, and submit your views on the issue of the day for others to read via "Talking Point".

www.guardian.co.uk - excellent site with the usual range of news and sport sections, alongside additional extras such as the daily news quiz, interactive crossword, weather forecast and TV listings. The search facility is good, enabling you to search through back copies of the newspaper for articles on a certain topic or a particular story. There are links to other "Guardian" sites, including Media Guardian, which contains one of the best media-related jobs supplements, and Education Guardian, which may be of particular interest to students and anyone who works in the field of education.

www.news.telegraph.co.uk - Wide variety of news sections, and a registration feature which enables you to receive free news bulletins by e-mail. Also features a pull down menu for quick and easy access to the particular area of news you wish you to read more about.
