How to bathe mice

How do you bath mice?

Question From: Danielle Cummings - Feb 21st 2004

Replies:

I'm not sure about mice, but I had a guinea pig which I had to give away because we goyt a 2nd dog, and we thought the dogs would kill it :

I'd suggest:
-Put a little lukewarm water into a sink(VERY shallow)
-Put the mouse in there, on your hand (Its slippy in a sink, lol)
-With your other hand, add a TINY bit of non-toxic shampoo and rub it on the mouse (Dont wet the mouse's head! lol :) )
-Take it out
-Dry it with a soft towel,= (Dont squash the lil' thing, tehe)
.

Mice are too small to bathe I think. What you should really do is get a very soft toothbrush, then dip it in luke-warm water and just brush your mouse with that. It musn't be too hot or cold. I know quite a lot about animals as I am studying to become a veterinary nurse when I'm older..
