How to deal with rejection
My partner has asked for a 1 week break, as I had an outburst of emotion which shocked him. Yet whilst I was on holiday (booked before I met him) he had an outburst of emotion and finished the relationship via text, I was forgiving. Do you think I should respect his wishes for the break ?

Rejection is a hard thing to take and never easy.
It is natural to want to change their mind, however even if they do get back with you it is usually because they don't want to hurt you at the time rather than a change of feelings, which just postpones the upset to further down the line.
Therefore best to chalk rejection up to experience and move on as hard as it seems at the time it is the best way.
Pining for past loves is sure just to make you feel unhappy for longer and that's no way to live your life.
