How to get white curtains
I have just bought some second-hand french lace curtains. The muslin backing is very grey and the white embroidery is not very white. I have washed them once in powder, then again in powder plus two sachets of net whitener but they are no better. The curtains have been hanging in a display environment for a long time. Can anyone let me know how I can get them white again?

To whiten net curtains just add cornflower instead of a softner in the last rinse works wonders!.

To get your curtains white you could also try some mild bleaching for instance a mild solution of hydrogen peroxide or other similar bleaching agent should result in curtains becoming nice and white again!
