Removing a radiator is quite a complicated task.
You will need to get a DIY book out from the library for this task to get full details, but briefly:
- close the manual control valve
- remove the lockshield valve cap and turn to close
- pull away floor covering
- put sheets on floor
- loosen the bleed valve to remove water
- loosen nuts on the control valve
- similarly for lockshield valve
- lift radiator off supports, empty any water left
- cover the exposed pipes
