Remove crayon from a sofa

Crayon marks are very hard to remove!
In general the first stop with crayon marks would be to try something like WD-40: spray it on and then wipe.
However this works best with hard surfaces, not sure if it will work with cloth - try applying on a small area first and see - if it works then spray on the rest to remove the crayon.
