how do you get superglue out of fabrics - can you still use acetone?

To remove superglue from fabric is notoriously tricky - after all, it's sticky!
Here's what to try:
First off try buying specific superglue remover from a DIY store and apply - this may help you separate off the superglue.
The old fashioned method is to use non-acetone fingernail polish.
