Should I pay a modelling agency? Most common question ever!

Definitely the most common question I read in the questions section on this site about modelling is whether people should pay an 'agency' to become a model or for a test shoot to get on their books.

The bottom line seems to be that you should never ever pay to join such an agency. Most people report disappointing experiences and no work as a result.

If an agency really is interested they will take you on their books on a commission basis - they will take you on for free as they think they will get you jobs.

The main thing to remember is safety - don't ever go somewhere you don't know about without doing your thorough research first, and always take a friend or someone else with you. Most places are reputable but you can never be too sure these days so safety first girls
