Does anyone understand how to use twitter... as far as I can tell you just post a little sentence about what you're doing like the status message on here but I don't really get how that works and how you can network as a result of that

Keep up you lot, everyone has been talking about twitter for ages!

Basically it is a micro blog where you have 140 characters to write what you are doing, like the status feature on here. People read what you are doing and you sign-up to read about what others are doing too and, er, that's it but it's a bit of a global phenomenon!
