I am really into learning music but my friends think it's uncool and tease me how can I get them to stop?

It is a great thing to do to learn a musical instrument.

Not only is it immensely rewarding when you get good, it helps in loads of ways. It broadens your horizons, gives you a new skill set that might be useful in later life, and it can even be very social - particularly if you join a music group or a band of some sort with others who also play instruments.

Your friends may think it's uncool but they are just plain wrong - and perhaps even they are jealous because they don't have the same opportunity - playing an instrument is a great thing and more people should do it.

So play and learn your instrument with pride and enjoy every moment of learning music and being able to express yourself through it.

If you show it's not affecting you at all they will soon stop teasing you, and in future you might even get looked up by them, particularly if you happen to join a band and suddenly become 'cool'!
