There are more than one way to lose weight and drop a dress size, as they say there is more than one way to skin a cat (though I hope no-one has ever actually tried that one!)

Dropping a dress size requires dedication and some simple planning.

The best and most effective method of attack to dropping a dress size is to combine two very simple ideas.

The first of these is good nutrition and changing your eating habits and style. The second line of attack is with regard to doing some exercise, or doing more exercise.

Drop a Dress Size Through Diet


Your diet is crucial, as they say you are what you eat - where does anything inside you come from other than what you have eaten at some stage? And we all know that the unhealthier your diet, the unhealthier you become.

So, if you eat food that is bad for you - crisps and chocolate and also have lots of alcohol, then you need to try to cut this out.

Replace with salads and green veg and fruit and things like chicken, fish and so on. Have less red meat then you do at present though there is no need to cut it out.

For snacks consider some seeds or nuts and a piece of fruit - and kick out that chocolate bar or bag of crisps that you tend to snack on at the moment!

What else? Well, actually this is all there is to it in terms of diet. Just be sensible in what you eat with only the odd treat and just over a few months you can make dramatic changes and drop a dress size, particularly if you combine your healthier eating plan with...

Exercise and dropping a dress size


Exercise is another key method that you can use in order to lose the weight that you are carrying.

Particularly important is aerobic exercise which will get the heart pumping, the sweat pouring, and start to burn off those calories. Depending on how fit you are and how much weight you have to lose it is always worth checking with your doctor for recommendations before starting an exercise program to ensure you are able to.

Often therefore it is a good idea to start small with going for walks. Then steadily build up to brisk walks over time, or power walks.

If you can walk to work instead of take the car then you help yourself and also the environment.

When ready, you can move on to things like running machines and exercise bikes at the gym, or get an aerobics video or even join a class where the social side of things may give you more enjoyment and make it easier to continue.

The first couple of weeks exercise is usually the hardest and when you get into a routine you will start to enjoy it and maybe won't even want to stop!

So there you have it - two simple but effective methods to help you drop a dress size - combine good, healthy nutritious food in moderation with decent levels of exercise, and you should find that you can have your weight under control in no time at all!
