When was the industrial revolution?

It is hard to give the exact dates of the industrial revolution, but this was when Britain changed the shape of the world forever with machines and automatic processes coming in and taking over all sorts of processes that hitherto relied purely on the industry of humans.

The rough dates are from around 1750 to 1900 and during this period steam and water powered machines overtook many manual processes leading to huge leaps and improvements and mass production on a large scale for the first time.
