Darker shades add dimension to your eyes, whereas lighter colours brighten and make them appear wider. Use an eye primer to start with, and concealer to even out your skin complexion, therefore making your make up last longer throughout the day. Buy a flat professional eye shadow brush if you want to achieve decent results. An angled one is better for countering. A good tip is that eye make up and lip colours should always match. But if you're using a bold colour for your eyes then go for a nude lipstick, so you dont overdo it. Blued eyed girls should opt for brown, gray or violet shadows. Gold, plum and burnt orange look great with brown eyes, and green eyes compliment lavender, yellow or gold. Darker skin is better for cocoa brown, plum or purple. Sweep the lightest shade over your entire eye area. Next the medium colour should be applied on the lower part of your eye lid. Finally the darkest one needs to be added to the outer corners and lash line. Use a smaller brush for this.
