Boost Your Brain By Drawing A Picture

Education : Brain Boosters

If you draw a picture of your knowledge then this creativity can really help you to remember it all!

The picture can take any format that you like.

Some people like to draw spider diagrams with a topic at the centre, then legs coming off, each covering a sub-topic and then even more sub-topics underneath.

So for instance you might have 'metals' at the centre of the page for chemistry, and then coming off it all the different types - alkali, alkali-earth and so on, then list actual metals underneath.

You might have an arm called 'properties' and then list things such as tending to have high melting points, malleability, ductile and so on.

Or to store information in groups you could draw the outline of a house with four big windows. In each window, group together what you need to know.

So in one window you might put the halogen gases in chemistry, like chlorine, bromine, iodine, fluorine; in another window you might put the noble gases like argon, xenon, krypton, radon and so on for each window.

This grouping can help you visualise and remember what goes where, as you can see that mental picture of your house with the information neatly segmented.
