Evaporated Milk Ice Cream
Food And Drink : Desserts If you want to make your own ice cream at home using evaporated milk, then you will need 2 cups of it, plus 2 thirds of a cup of sugar and 1 envelope of unsweetened drink mix. Put the evaporated milk into a large mixing bowl and put into the freezer until it is almost frozen. Check on it after about 20 mins, then every 5-10 mins after that. Basically when you see frozen edges then it is ready. Put the beaters in the freezer and take them out when theyre cold. Whip the milk until it is nice and fluffy. Add in some sugar and the drink mix until the mixture goes stiff. Then spoon it into a container such as a tuppaware box, with a lid on. Freeze for 3 to 4 hours, then its ready to serve. It may be a good idea to serve it with some fruit such as raspberries, strawberries, or in an ice cream glass with biscuit, chocolate sauce and chocolate chip pieces for an extra special dessert.
