How To Explain A Prevailing Wind
| Education : Geography Whilst studying the weather, you will often here the term ?prevailing wind? used. But what exactly is that? The best way to understand this is simply as the most common wind direction in a particular geographic region, perhaps during a particular period of time. For instance, much of the UK - particularly in the summer - experiences a prevailing wind from the southwest which is warm and moist.
