| Education : University One of the best things that you can do whilst a student is to get a summer internship or work placement over the course of the summer months. And why is that? Because it is great experience, looks really good on the CV, and more than that many people who are on the summer internship and impress either have first refusal on jobs in that company when it comes to applying the year after, or at least have a headstart on others by knowing about the company. How do you go about getting a summer internship at a company? Well, many companies offer these as they are a cost effective way of getting some useful resource in who may just contribute some really useful ideas to that company. All that you need to do is to apply to them by writing to them via their websites, and many of them have a specific section on summer internships. The places are limited and competitive but if you apply early and write specifically and well about why you want a placement with that company then there is no reason why you shouldn't be one of the lucky few that gets offered the internship.
