| Pets : Birds If you have a parrot then you should help with grooming every so often. Note that the parrot should first off be kept in a place with a very stable temperature - parrots particularly require a stable temperature. You should wash your pet polly around once a week - no fancy products needed, just some water, and then towel dry the bird. Like all birds, their nails can become too long, in which case it is a good idea to clip them. If this proves difficult for you or if you aren't confident in doing so, then by all means get it done by the vet.
