It sounds like the start of a joke but here is an interesting method of getting rid of spots quickly that I just read in a modelling magazine, so it must be true! The tip says that you need to get a few aspirins - about four or five - and crush them in a little water. You then massage this on and around the affected area of skin that has the spots, and leave for a minute then wash off. Apparently this helps to get rid of spots and gives the skin a nice healthy glow.
