How Short Letters For Autograph Requests Can Work

Hobbies : Autographs

Incidentally, if, after trying to get information on someone, you fail in doing so, and it seems that there is no hope of you getting any useful facts about a person you plan to write to, then it's best to adopt the opposite 'strategy' to that discussed in previous articles in this autograph section.

Since the majority of letters are from those who give the odd fact here and there, but don't know much, there's no point writing the same sort of letter if you too have nothing particular to say to that person.

It is better to have a short, sharp few lines letter than a longer rambling one which will just bore the person.

Make your excuses for so doing, so that it seems you do know about them: eg 'you probably are very busy and don't have time to read a long letter, so I'll get straight to the point....' type of thing is best.

This at least appears to give you a reason for not bothering to write much to them!
