| Money : Property At the most basic level, the amount of floor space available in a home will increase the price, whilst the less floor space and area in the home, the less you would expect to pay, relative to the area that the house is in. However, adding rooms to a house is not a surefire way to increase the value of the property, for instance splitting one small bedroom into two tiny ones that are of no use at all might seem like a superficial increase in room(s) but in fact would negatively affect the house price. Therefore rather than rearranding space like this for the sake of it rather look at something more practical for instance a loft conversion or the addition of a conservatory, which can add more space, more value but without much cost.
