Increase Your Property Value: The Garden

Money : Property

The garden is a strange area of the house.

This is because, pro rata, the land has a lot less value than that of the house. A house with a large garden is worth less than a large house with a small garden.

That said however many people do value the green space in the garden greatly, not only for the restful look and the potential to work the garden but also of course it tends to push other properties further away, normally behind but often to the side if it extends beyond the width of the front boundaries of the property, adding to more privacy.

Therefore consider paying for a landscaped garden.

The cost of this need not be particularly high, but it will make your home more attractive, particularly with a good selection of green, healthy shrubs and plants and in turn this will add to the perceived and indeed actual value of your property.
