How To Keep Pets Warm In Winter

Pets : Other Pets

If you have pets like guinea pigs or rabbits, that live outside the house, then the times of year where it is cold, usually around November - February, are times where you should pay special attention to your pet.

One key aspect will be add more bedding so that your pet can stay warmer than is needed in the summer - lots of straw and hay is great for this and will help them store their body heat.

You should also consider moving them somewhere a little bit warmer - for instance if you don't use your garage to store a car then whilst it may be rather cool it should be warmer than being outside, so this is another possibility.

Finally, you chould even get a special indoor hutch or cage, and allow the pet in one of the downstairs rooms over winter.
