One of the easiest and best things to do is to go to a variety of very expensive and exclusive stores, for instance Harrods of London, and buy some small items that are quite cheap. But the point is they give the impression that you shop there regularly. Therefore perhaps get some greeting cards to give to your friends or other stationery with the Harrods name on it and it gives the impression 'ooh she shops at Harrods - must be well off'... whether you are or not is beside the point!
