How To Make Up Your Lips!

Beauty : Cosmetics

If you really want to draw attention to your lips then you need to know how to apply lipstick and lip liner to their fullest effects. The type of lipstick you use might depend on the setting, so if you are going out then the glossy and satin kinds look good, whereas for work or during the day, you can opt for a matt finish. If you are wearing heavy eye makeup then use a softer lip colour, whereas if your eye makeup is quite light, you can afford to use a more striking lip colour.

Apply your other makeup first then move onto your lips. When you use a lip liner properly it should add definition to and enhance the shape of the lips. You can place lip pencils in the fridge to make them really strong and easier to sharpen. Choose one that is a shade darker than your lipstick, and start from the centre of your top lip and work your way to the edges. If you want to make thin lips look thicker then line all the way to the edges. If you want your to lip to appear thicker than it is, just line it and don't bother with the bottom lip. To apply the lipstick, do so carefully from the tube or use a small lip brush, but either way make sure you stay within the line of your lips and don't go over it.

Always blot your lips on a tissue once or twice after applying to remove any excess. Add anything else on top of the lipstick which you might use to keep it on. If you do not do this, remember that it will come off when you eat or drink for example, so you may have to reapply periodically.
