The first is to check out the internet and various web sites to see if there are results of existing surveys that have been done out there to inform you. The other thing to consider is to do a simple door to door survey yourself. Simply knock around 100 houses in the local area and see if they are prepared to do a survey; or even easier so just use your web site if you get decent traffic and offer a survey on there.
