How To Master The Run Up

Sport : Cricket

If you are a bowler, then you probably focus most of all on the actual delivery action and motion.

However, all of this can be set up beautifully, or put off very well by the same token, by the quality of your run up. Therefore you should invest some time in getting your run up correct, too.

As a guideline, if you are a quick bowler then something in the range of 16 - 20 strides would be fine, whilst for a spinner less is needed - perhaps 5 or 6 would be correct.

When you start your run up, ensure that you are nicely balanced; that is, weight forward.

Another great tip is to ensure that you keep your eyes looking straight at where you are aiming to bowl.
