Money Morals

Money : Back To Basics

Here is a short guide to what is morally acceptable and unacceptable when it comes to money.

If you borrow money from your partner, then always ask permission first.

Recycle your rubbish as this will create more space in your home, help the environment and earn you some extra cash. For example mobile phones can be sold online, even if broken, to sizes like Envirofone and Cellzone, or even Boots. Boots also recycle empty printer ink cartridges or at cashforcartridges.co.uk

Old mp3 players, SatNavs and cameras can be sold to simplydrop.co.uk

You can also receive Green Clubcard points when you recycle aluminium cans at Tesco, or a £5 Marks & Spencer voucher for donating M&S clothes and soft furnishings (like towels and bed linen) to Oxfam.

Generate your own energy where possible. Maybe install solar panels.

Bank with an ethical bank, such as Co-Op.

Dont be stingy when you give people tips. The waitress or hairdresser probably has children to look after.

Don’t skimp on every luxury... save your money but dont go to extremes.

Never download music and videos illegally from the internet as this is the same as stealing.

Don’t take pennies from your colleagues’ desks, or even stationery.
