How To Play Hangman
| Games : Puzzles Hangman is a fun and simple game to play. It can be played with anything, but often the name of a famous person. Each letter in the name is replaced with an '_' and you have to guess the name. So for instance, you might get Tony Blair replaced by _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ You then start guessing letters. If you get a letter right, it is placed in wherever it occurs. If it's not in the word, then the other player starts drawing a hangman. Each time you get a letter wrong, more of the hangman is drawn. Typically you get around eight to ten goes to get it right before the hangman is complete and you lose your game! The best way to play is to guess the most common letters first. The word is going to have vowels in, so try 'a', 'e', 'i' and 'o' up front. Almost certainly at least two of those vowels will be in the answer. After that, try common letters such as 't', 'r' and 's'. You should now have a certain number of letters on the grid, and may know the answer. In the above puzzle, we would now have 'ton_ ? _ _ air' which would probably be enough to solve it!
