Petrol costs, in the UK at least, are going up and up.

It has always been a soft target for extra tax ever since the government realised that the fuel we use pollutes the environment and so it can just be labelled as a green tax or some such all of the time, conveniently for them.

As such it is more and more important to look for ways to save fuel on the journeys you have to make and of course replace those you don't have to with foot or other transport.

So here's a great little tip from reader Tony on how to save fuel:

To save fuel go straight from 2nd gear to 4th on flat roads.
