How To Set The Tone
| Education : English One aspect of answering an english essay question is TONE. This is set by asking "what is the audience" If you are asked to write to someone you don't know well, you will need a factual, calm, formal and polite tone. If you are writing to a good friend, you can be less formal and more friendly in your language. Key: Whatever tone you start with, you must keep throughout the piece. Examiners will look for this and there will be good marks on offer for those who keep the tone throughout the piece.
