How To Spend Less On Your Mobile Phone

Money : Saving

According to reports, '85% of us are getting ripped off by mobile phone deals.' Here's how to stop that happening to YOU...

There are so many mobile phone tariffs out there, that its hard to choose the right one.

Regularly change your tariff so you can go for the best deal every time. The market is always competitive so times change constantly.

1. Dont always think it will be better and easier to go for a deal in store, sometimes there are the same deals online but for a lower price, so check first. You can also buy a phone via a cash back website, which will be cheaper.

2. When switching networks, always check there’s a good quality coverage in your area first. This can be done via the Ofcom website.

3. Some contracts have a chance of free handset upgrades in the future, so always enquire about this before purchasing.

4. If you’re content with the handset you already own, maybe go for a SIM-only deal. These are better value for money and only tie you down for a month at a time, compared to lengthy contracts which usually last 12-18 months.

5. Some companies still charge for paper bills to be sent through your door, so opt for online billing which is free, plus you can check how much you are spending more quickly.

6. The insurance deals arent worth it, so give this a miss. Your home insurance policy may cover your mobile phone if it gets damaged anyway.
