How To Spot A Bad Competition

Hobbies : Photography

When you are entering photo competitions, then it pays to check out the terms and conditions.

Whilst most in major magazines are reputable, you might come across a slightly shadier competition at times, where people are basically trying to build up a photo library for free - so that they can profit from your images!

For instance, a small number of competitions crop up each year that say that they will get ownership of any pictures entered - and thus will be free to sell your images and get the money for your work.

Therefore be sure to always check the small print and avoid nasty surprises!
