How To Spot A Scam Email

Computing : Computer Applications

Email scams are all the rage - but luckily many are easy to spot.

First of all, you should find that the links don't go direct through to the website they should.

Second, the spelling is often very poor indeed.

Third, the content of them all is virtually always the same: give me your username and password for some site.

If you ever get asked to verify your details for a website then remember that this is always a scam because the company already knows your username and password.

Exercise caution and if ever in doubt then make sure that you get in touch with a company through the official channels to find out what the reality is.
